The traditional cider is made from apples or pears, fermented with an ale or champagne yeast, and bottled once it has reached the perfect amount of dryness.
If I'm being honest, that sounds really good right about now, but what if there was a way cider could be more than that?
As refreshing as a nice, crisp, dry cider sounds after a long day of slaying dragons and saving fair maidens, what if we threw in some blueberry? Blackberry? Pineapples and oranges and mangoes (Oh my)?
What if we got really crazy and went with lemon and rose petals or raspberry and hibiscus?
Better yet, how about pineapple and jalapeno or strawberry and habanero?
At Atheneum Cider, we're not afraid to experiment with crazy ingredient combinations or different strains of yeast, including wild ones.
For all of you adventurers out there, welcome!
